NERO International Holding Co. Inc. Live the Adventure Mount Gilead, NC 27306 From the Desk of: Joseph Valenti RE: DRAGONS REBORN STORYLINE: Teaser 1 Authors: Joseph Valenti & Christopher Spencer Date: December15, 2020 Overview For near a week, you’ve been aroused from sleep with sudden anxiety, your body drenched in sweat. Intense nightmares have dominated your subconscious some nights, while other nights you’ve been blessed with pleasant dreams. The intensity and frequency of these contending dreams and nightmares leave with you the thoughts of war between the elemental planes of Dream and Nightmare, but the content in the nightmares and the dreams lead you to your old childhood stomping grounds. Nightmares Your nightmares have taken form in several different scenes. The first, Orcs overrunning a cave mouth, battling with an old Blue Dragon. It seems that this battle has surpassed several days, only calming when the Dragon causes a landslide of heavy mountain rock to fill the cave entrance. The Orcs continuously remove the rock, only to continue the engagement, neither side giving way. The second scene depicts the same blue dragon in battle. Several thousands of red, blue, and green Orcs relentlessly press attacks on the Dragon. While fewer in number, the Orc tribes appear to be assisted by allies - Warriors, Wizards and even Necromancers or varying races, Elves, Humans and Hoblings. The final nightmare is a bit longer one, the Blue Dragon is brought to his death. The great Orcish hordes are seen moving the thick rock from the cave wall, while off to the side you see the dead Blue Dragon. After some time, the Orcs unearth a large clutch of 100 or so dragon eggs, varying in color. You see each of the remaining Orcs and the varying races each take one egg. The scene quickly morphs. You see a harsh sunrise over the hills. The hordes of Orcs stand, ready to charge, the sun warming their backs and lighting their path. On the opposite hillside, a few dozen Elvish Archers stand in defense, bows drawn. Alongside them a commanding swordsman stood clutching his own dragon egg. The orcs had hoped to blind their enemies by using the rising sun to their advantage. As the Orcs charge, the elves let loose their volley, slaying Orcs as their comrades clamber over the fallen bodies. The small horde finally reach and occupy the hillside, and the elves retreat to a more advantageous position. They let loose one final volley and draw their swords in defense of the Dragon Egg. The elves battle fiercely as Orc after Orc falls. As the minutes pass, the elves are seen battling the last of Orcs, the Dragon Egg with them. The scene fades, and you awaken with intense anxiety. Dreams I nterlaced with the nightmares, you have several dreams, if you can call them that. Your heart does not beat as quickly, and you do not feel the same intense anxiety and pressure when you awake. Your first dream is simple and short. You are looking through your own eyes, but perhaps as a child. You see your childhood home around you as you explore its outer workings. You feel at peace, and you feel comfortable. The second dream you see a familiar cave entrance. A cave you’ve been to before, played in as a child, and explored as a young adult. You see a large glistening egg, you know it’s a Dragon’s Egg, laying behind a loose rock wall toward the back of the cave. You begin to remove some of the loose rocks until you can see the Dragons Egg, the intricate details of its shell become more apparent. As you reach out to touch the egg, the dream fades in a rush of strong winds. Your final dream reveals a Great Black Dragon. She is prancing and frolicking about her cavern in what appears to be a distraught and panicked state. As she attempts to leave, she ricochets off an invisible wall, that colorizes intensely as she hits it, only to quickly fade back to its invisible state. This is the work of a great formal magic, a magic you have seen before, a magic with which you are familiar. As the face of the dragon appears you believe you may recognize her, but her name escapes you. She bounces off the invisible wall at the cave mouth, only this time the great magic’s light intensifies, and you awake to find its morning. You can’t help but think about the cave you once explored and the Dragon Egg your dreams are telling you is there for your taking. You finish breakfast, grab some weaponry, and head out to the cave whose entrance you’ve seen in your dreams. Entering the cave, you walk through its rocky corridors and approach the back of the cave. You see the open crevice where the egg sat in your dreams, slightly caved in with small rock. As you dig through the stone removing each small piece, you uncover the very Dragon Egg from your dreams. A few days later, a small group of Orcs attacks your home and are defeated by you and your family, guards, village, etc.. END
